PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving the whole of the apparatus without losing convenience with respect to any trouble of an outdoor machine even when a plurality of indoor machines and a plurality of outdoor machines are coupled in parallel to a refrigerant piping for operation. SOLUTION: An air conditioner 10 comprises a plurality of indoor machines 11, 12, a refrigerant piping 13, a plurality of outdoor machines 14, 15, a control processing section 16, and a communication unit 17. The indoor machines 11, 12, and the outdoor machines 14, 15 are respectively coupled to the refrigerant piping 13 in parallel to each other. the control processing section 16 is connected to the outdoor machines 14, 15 and the communication unit 17. The communication unit 17 is connected to a modem 20 of a monitoring center 19. For example, when the outdoor machine 14 is troubled, the control processing section brings a heating adjusting valve 34 and an interruption valve 37 to a closed state, and actuates the indoor machines 11, 12 with the aid of the outdoor machine 15 and forces monitor information of the troubled outdoor machine 14 to be sent from the communication unit 17 to the monitor center 19.
