PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide center hole route-opener equipment of a swirl type electrode group in a battery, which can push away a remaining part of a separator, which remains inside of the center hole, the one side without changing the inside of the hole, and acquire habit, after forming the windings of the spiral electrode group. SOLUTION: The center hole route-opener equipment of the swirl type electrode group in the battery, has a habit imparting rod 14, which can be relatively inserted in the center hole 2a of the electrode group 2, and is formed as an expanding diameter part 22, in which elastic deformation of a part of its perimeter wall is possible, and a wedge pin 24, which elastically deforms the expanding diameter part 22 to project it out to the outer side of the radial direction, when it is pushed into the habit imparting rod 14.
