PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas discharge display device and a manufacturing method of the same which is capable of forming an electrode pattern of a trapezoid shape with uniformity and without the occurrence of defects or the like in the process of electrode-pattern forming, and also is capable of displaying with high quality. SOLUTION: This electrode pattern is easily formed by exposing an electrode layer having photosensitivity from the rear side of a glass substrate structure, or by exposing the electrode layers having two or more than two layers by means of using the first layer of them as a shielding pattern and exposing from the rear side in self-alignment.
