PURPOSE: A system for making a broadcast program interwork with Internet information and a method for the same are provided to detect a receiver channel on air and then supply Internet service information suitable for a user's taste on a display screen. CONSTITUTION: An Internet enable system(200) displays the information, related to a broadcast channel which a user currently watches, on a television(100). A router(400) receives the information request signal sent via the Internet(300) and thereby optimizes an information transmission route. A web server(500) provides the information related to a broadcast program by each channel so that the user can represent the information related to a program and additional information on the television(100). A database server(600) stores the additional information related to the broadcast program. A web mail server(700) informs the user that a mail is received on a screen of the television(100). An instant messenger server(800) provides a real time online service which allows the user to check message information sent from a transmitter without an electronic mail program or a browser.
