PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which can connect external devices, equipped with a specific interface that is possibly connected directly to host equipment, to the host equipment by relaying by itself. SOLUTION: Storing the data sent from the host equipment through a USB cable 4 in a specific receiving buffer, a receiver 2 reads the stored data from the receiving buffer. When the read data are data for a CD player 3, the data are converted into data addressed to the CD player 3 and the converted data are written to a prescribed transmission buffer. Then the receiver 2 converts the data stored in the transmission buffer into data meeting the RS-232C standards and sends them to the CD player 3 through an RS-232C cable 5.
