PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for applying an adhesive, in which the adjustment of the position of a doctor blade is attained with high accuracy and reliability by a simple system. SOLUTION: The device for applying an adhesive (1) is for applying the adhesive (5) housed in a vessel (6) on the back part of a book block (2) advancing toward a prescribed transporting direction, and is composed of a coating roller (4) for taking out the adhesive (5) in the vessel (6) and a doctor blade (8) for arranging an adhesive layer applied on the back part of the book block (3) and an energizing element for the doctor blade is connected to a driving structure (18) of an electric motor (17) to be driven. |
