SYNERGISTIC COMPOSITION OF ANTIMALARIAL DRUG AND ANTI-CANCER DRUG FOR USE IN TREATMENT OF CANCER

PURPOSE: A composition capable of increasing an anticancer effect by co-administration of an antimalarial agent and an anticancer drug is provided, which increases an anticancer effect by about 3 times in the case of breast cancer, about 10 times in stomach cancer, about 10 times in intestine cancer and about 10 times in soft tissue sarcoma. CONSTITUTION: The combined administration of an anticancer agent and an antimalarial agent has synergistic activity. Thus, co-administration of doxorubicin and cisplatin as an anticancer drug and hydroxychloroquine, chloroquine and primaquine as an antimalarial drug reduces a minimum effective concentration(IC50) and inhibits drug resistance of a cancer cell.
