PURPOSE: A microwave electric cooker is provided to enable foodstuffs to cook in a fast various manner by cooking the foodstuffs with microwaves generated from a magnetron. CONSTITUTION: A pot(10) is provided with a cavity(10a) for containing foodstuffs(F). A magnetron(11) generates microwaves for cooking the foodstuffs. A waveguide(12) directs the microwaves from the magnetron into the cavity of the pot. A diverging means(13) is provided on a radiating port adapted to radiate the microwaves into the cavity of the pot, and causes the microwaves to be uniformly distributed so that the microwaves are transmitted into the foodstuffs. A cover plate(14) is defined in an appearance such that the microwaves radiated toward the cavity of the pot do not give a leakage toward the exterior of the cavity.
