<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure perishable foods such as fruits to be thawed uniformly without the need of long time. SOLUTION: The thawing equipment comprises the following parts: the inside of a liquid tank 2 is vertically divided by a partition wall 4, both ends of which are provided with communicating holes 5 and 6, respectively for liquid medium circulation, and a heat exchanger 7 for heating use, a heat exchanger 8 for cooling use and a pump 9 are installed in the lower part of the liquid tank 2; a filter 11 is set above the hole 6 on the pump 9 side and the rim of the partition wall 4 facing on the hole 6 is provided with a baffle plate 12; a liquid medium such as an aqueous alcohol solution 17 is charged into the liquid tank 2, vessels 13 holding frozen fruits are arranged in a charge cage 14 and charged into the upper part of the liquid tank 2, and while circulating the aqueous alcohol solution 17 by the pump 9, the aqueous alcohol solution 17 is kept at -5 to 0 deg.C by the aid of the cooling heat exchanger 8 and the heating heat exchanger 7, and the frozen fruits are thawed by the aqueous alcohol solution 17 circulating among the vessels 13.</p> |
