PURPOSE: A metric information collecting method of hierarchical network is provided to provide a high quality path according to a service type in case of a path request between nodes by selecting a metric of priority according to a service type or a service type combination, selecting an uplink with the best metric value selected for the service type or a service type combination, setting the metric information of the selected uplink as metric information for an upper level link. CONSTITUTION: An upper level node determines whether metric information of an internal link is to be expressed independently by service types or to be expressed in a combination form of the service types(S401). If the metric information is to be expressed independently by each service type, the upper level node selects a representative uplink according to the service type from an uplink list managed by the internal link(S402) and sets metric information of the selected uplink as metric information collected according to each service type of the internal link(S403). If the metric information is to be expressed in the combination form of the service types, the upper level node selects a representative uplink according to the service type combination from the uplink list managed by the internal link(S404), and sets the metric information of the selected uplink as metric information collected according to the service type combination of the internal link(S405).
