PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processing method and a device capable of coping with documents of various format forms without installing many application software in an Internet facsimile machine. SOLUTION: When a document of a nonprocessible file form is attached to e-mail received by an Internet facsimile machine 2, the document is transferred to a file converting center 1, and is converted into a desired file form by the file converting center 1, and is returned to the Internet facsimile machine 2.
