PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Web page retrieval system which enables even a beginner or the like, of information processing equipment to easily, speedily, and precisely performs retrieval and easily obtain information even from all over the world. SOLUTION: A candidate for a tern needed for retrieval is obtained by clicking on a classification and a dictionary, clicking on one HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) character in a character list 13 of a character input support tool 10, and then clicking on a candidate request button 23. The retrieval becomes possible by selecting the term. Since an equivalent term in translation is allocated to a database, Web pages in all over the world can be retrieved with Japanese.
