PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for automatically setting its own station telephone number by which a user has only to make a call to a center and connect with the center without the need for the user to manually set its own station telephone number. SOLUTION: A facsimile terminal makes a call to the center automatically or through the operation of the user, the center receiving the call transmits a caller telephone number received from an exchange of a local phone company to the facsimile terminal, the facsimile terminal stores the received called telephone number to its internal storage at faxing, reads the caller telephone number and a user attaches the caller telephone number to an image as its own station telephone number and transmits the resulting image.
