PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a septic tank which can stand the load from a usual road and be installed in a short time. SOLUTION: This septic tank is provided with a septic tank body 12 which forms in it a water-treating space for the biological treatment of water to be treated which flows in. In addition, a structural body 11, which receives the load added from the direction of the upper part of the septic tank body 12 under the condition that the septic tank body 12 is buried in the ground and transmits it to the side of the position which is lower than that of the septic tank body 12, is provided around the circumferential side in planar view of the septic tank body 12.
