PURPOSE: A brake shoe for a vehicle is provided to prevent noise and uneven wear by modifying the shape of the brake shoe contacted to a piston of a wheel cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A lining is contacted to a drum by a piston of a wheel cylinder for braking, and mounted in a rim(112). The rim of a brake shoe(100) is extended to the contact portion of the piston, and bent for surface contacting the piston. The piston of the wheel cylinder is contacted to an extended part(110). The outside of the lining is contacted to the inside of the drum with enlarging the contact area of the extended part and the piston. The extended part is surface contacted to the piston in pushing the piston of the wheel cylinder out, and thrust is transmitted evenly to the lining through the contact surface. Braking force is improved with extending the rim of the brake shoe. Uneven wear of the lining and noise are reduced with contacting to the piston stably.
