Provided are a server storage apparatus comprising: a server rack which includes a door and into which computation equipment is loaded; an opening checking unit which checks opening and closing times of the door; a storage unit in which a proper operation time has been stored; a control unit which calculates an operation time based on the opening and closing times, and determines whether the operation time exceeds the proper operation time; and a notification unit which outputs a warning signal when the operation time exceeds the proper operation time by a predetermined time, and a monitoring method for the same. Accordingly, the warning signal is output when a time for a maintenance operation of a server exceeds the proper operation time, and thus an administrator can check theft or unreasonable replacement of the computation equipment or parts mounted in the server rack. |
