PURPOSE: An automatic tension adjuster of a driving belt for a vehicle is provided to compensate tension of a V-belt by moving an upper tensioner with restoring force of an elastic member in relaxing tension of the belt, and to improve output by transmitting power securely. CONSTITUTION: An automatic tension adjusting apparatus of a driving belt of a vehicle is composed of a lower tensioner(13) fixed in a crankshaft pulley(1) by a fixing nut(14); an elastic member installed in the lower tensioner; and an upper tensioner(16) inserted to the lower tensioner, and fixed in an idler pulley(2) by a fixing nut(17). The upper tensioner is not separated from the lower tensioner with forming fitting protrusions(13a,16) in the lower tensioner and the upper tensioner. The upper tensioner is drawn out from the lower tensioner automatically with restoring force of the elastic member in relaxing tension of a V-belt wound between the crankshaft pulley and the idler pulley. The life span of the belt is extended with automatically compensating tension of the V-belt by moving the upper tensioner. The output is improved with transmitting power securely.
