The present invention is directed to a projection system that includes a projector that is capable of displaying an image, a work surface on which th e image is displayed, and an object that corresponds to the image for placemen t substantially in the position of the image on the work surface. The object m ay be positioned on the work surface by projecting the image on the work surfac e, and placing the object corresponding to the image substantially in the position of the image on the work surface.
