PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear shift control device for an automatic transmission capable of eliminating a sense of incongruity of a driver when a slip occurs and obtaining a necessary driving force. SOLUTION: When a slip is detected by detecting the number of revolutions of wheels by a wheel revolution number detection means 11, a slip determination means 12 outputs a slip signal. A holding means 13 in which the slip signal is inputted outputs a holding signal hold in a gear stage (for example, a first stage) at an input time of the slip signal to a gear shift means 14 until a predetermined time elapses. If a slip condition continues after the predetermined time elapses, the gear shift means 14 outputs a gear shift signal for shifting a gear to a predetermined gear stage (for example, a third stage) to an automatic transmission mechanism 2, and a driving force is reduced to prevent the continuation of the slip. If the slip ends within the predetermined time, the gear stage (for example, the first stage) is held as it is and a gear shift is not conducted because the slip signal is stopped. |
