PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device allowing an easy and accurate parking of a vehicle by reverse movement. SOLUTION: A CCD camera 1 installed at the rear end center part of a vehicle photographs the rearward of the vehicle, a processor 2 recognizes a rearward parking district from an image thus obtained, a setting device 3 calculates a target parking route for the parking district from the present stop position of the vehicle, and a controller 4 operates an image display monitor 6 and a voice guide device 7 to issue a guiding instruction to a driver so as to move the vehicle rearward along the target parking route from the stop position of the vehicle. When the recognition of the rearward parking district by the processor 2 is difficult to perform, the setting device 3 calculates the target parking route based on parking district end points or parking district end sides if a driver designates the parking district end points or the parking district end sides on the image by a marking device 8, and the vehicle is moved backward along the target parking route to lead the vehicle to the parking district. |
