PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a semitransparent liquid crystal display, having a light-transmitting domain and a light-reflecting domain within one pixel, in which the semitransmission-type liquid crystal display device which uses the color filter displays images with superior luminosity and chroma as a transmission type liquid crystal display device and displays images with superior luminosity and chroma, without darkening as a reflection-type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In the color filter 10 for a semi-transparent liquid crystal display, having the light-transmitting domain Tr and the light-reflecting domain Re within one pixel, the color pixel in one pixel is made of a color layer of one color and uniform thickness. The color layer 15 is formed over the whole region of the light-transmitting domain, while the color layer 16 and a void part 17 of the color layer is formed in the light-reflecting domain. |
