[Class 75 (i).] A portable incandescent vapour lamp comprises a curved vaporizer 3 substantially surrounding the burner 7, one end of the vaporizer being detachably coupled to a fuel supply conduit 2 disposed outside of, and at the side of, the lamp chimney 5 and the other. end being provided with a jet 4 discharging into the burner mixing tube. The supply conduit 2 leads from a reservoir 1 containing liquid fuel and compressed air and carries at its upper end a threaded sleeve 16 and yoke 15. The vaporizer 3 terminates in a block 10 having an apertured conical projection 13 fitting in a conical cavity at the end of the conduit 2. The block 10 is coupled to the conduit 2 by a screw 17 mounted in a threaded sleeve 18 in the voke 15. The block 10 or conduit 2 is made of soft metal to facilitate the production of a fluidtight joint.</p> |
