PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator having a sufficient disaster protection function against gas spouting. SOLUTION: A measuring unit 110 constituted of a pressure-gauge 113, a gas intake 114 and openings 115 and 116 capable of being used as a blocking fluid injection port is provided to the excavator 10, and not only can make the measurement of gas pressure and the intake of gas but also can inject the blocking fluid such as mortar, cement milk or the like in the case of gas spouting. A rod check-valve or an inside casing check-valve 101 is provided to cut-off the flow of gas in an excavation rod or the inside casing 90. A rod disaster prevention valve or an inside casing disaster prevention valve 70 is provided to prevent the gas spouting from a gap 73C or the like.
