PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which a good image quality can be ensured by removing noise conveniently using a small number of memories. SOLUTION: A noise removing circuit is arranged such that multilevel data of 5 lines (41-45) is fed to a noise removing circuit 46 by FIFO(first in first out) system, a discrimination is made between an isolated point and a nonisolated point based on the results of a first decision means 47 and a second decision means 48 in the noise removing circuit 46, and decision results data 49 is delivered to the post-stage. A data area used for decision at the decision means 47 and 48 is constituted of an M×N pixel matrix including the area 51 of an interested pixel, and two L×K pixel areas (K<=L) adjacent to the matrix area on the opposite sides thereof. Size of a removable noise or removable conditions can be varied by setting the size of M, N, L and K arbitrarily. |
