PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter which can be easily connected to a camera body and a battery and formed into one piece with the camera body and the battery for the formation of a portable image pickup apparatus without using a support. SOLUTION: This converter is provided between a camera body with a first mount and a battery with a second mount fitted to the first mount provided to the camera body, where a second mount is provided on the surface of a converter body confronting the camera body, and a first mount is provided on the surface of the converter body confronting the battery.
