PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an insulation material such as an oxide coating film in a sensor to accurately detect a measured quantity. SOLUTION: This detection circuit is provided with a sensor means 7 comprising a variable resistor for outputting variation of the measured quantity to correspond to variation of a resistance value, the first electric power source 1 connected to the sensor means 7, an electric current determining means 15 connected between the first power source 1 and the sensor means 7 for determining the first electric current quantity flowing from the first power source 1 to the sensor means 7, and an operation processing means 3 for calculating the measured quantity based on an analog signal output from the sensor means 7. The level detection circuit is provided also with the second electric power source 4, and a current regulating means 16 connected between the second power source 4 and the sensor means 7 to make the second electric current quantity larger than the first current quantity flow to the sensor means 7 for a prescribed time when the first power source 1 is turned off.
