PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial agent composition having high safety, high activity and wide antimicrobial spectrum. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial agent composition contains 1-[[(3-iodo-2- propynyl)oxy]methoxy]-4-methoxybenzene, and at least one or more kinds selected from the compounds of (a) 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, (b) 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, (c) 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one, (d) sodium salt of 2-pyridinethiol-1-oxide and (e) 2,2-dithio-bis(pyridin-1-oxide).
