PURPOSE: A device for immediate data processing of a DSP(Digital Signal Processor) is provided to process the immediate data through one method by performing an appropriate processing instruction corresponding to the size of the immediate data when an assembler converts a program code into a machine language. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a decoder(10) offering an upper enable signal and a lower enable signal for storing the immediate data included in an instruction code in an upper data register(11) and a lower data register(12) and a clear signal for initializing the value of a used upper data register as zero, the upper data register storing the immediate data included in the instruction code by the upper enable signal after receiving a 9-bit instruction code, the lower data register storing the immediate data included in the instruction code by the lower enable signal after receiving a 15-bit instruction code, and a MUX(Multiplexer)(13) outputting the value of the upper data register if a selection signal is zero and outputting "1" if the selection signal is "1".
