OPTICAL DISK PRODUCING METHOD

A method of producing an optical disk having signal recording portion on one side without marring the recording/reproducing characteristics. A reflecting second signal recording portion (32) is provided to a synthetic resin support substrate (31) to which a predetermined grooved pattern is transferred, and a semitransparent first signal recording portion (42) is formed in a synthetic resin production substrate (41) to which a predetermined grooved pattern is transferred. The first and second signal recording portions (32, 42) are initialized separately so that information can be recorded there. The support and production substrates are so bonded that the first signal recording portion is superposed on the second one. Thus, signal recording portions (32, 42) are formed on the support substrate (31).
