PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for editing space data, by which operability is improved by simplifying the work contents when editing the data registered in a database using an automatic composition software. SOLUTION: This system sorts each itemized filed corresponding to character string data contained in a printing original; also adds an identifier to each item for sorting character string data to be not carried on the space from those to be carried and registers the items in the primary database; selects the field item by item by the identifier according to each printing original in the edit mode; records the character string data, the identifier, and each text data corresponding to the field in a 2nd database as a part of the basic data necessary for the edition; and automatically performs composition based on the basic data outputted from the database. |
