Nucleic acid (I) is: (i) a sequence (1; 750 bp), (3; 1255 bp) or (5; 810 bp), all reproduced; (ii) the equivalent of (i) within the degeneracy of the genetic code or; (iii) a sequence that hybridizes to (i) or (ii) under stringent conditions and encodes a polypeptide with cytokine receptor activity. (I) is other than a genomic sequence. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) polypeptides (II) encoded by (I); (2) a vector containing at least one copy of (I) or a fragment of it; (3) a cell transformed with (I) or the vector of (2); (4) antibodies (Ab) directed against (II); (5) a pharmaceutical composition containing (I), the vector of (2), the cell of (3), sequences antisense to (I), (II) or Ab.
