The invention relates to a chemical product, especially a fertiliser, in addition to a method for producing said chemical product. The chemical product comprises a core which contains at least one active ingredient and which is extracted from an enveloping material which is different from the active ingredient. According to the invention, the enveloping material comprises essentially methylene urea, which allows controlled, delayed release of the active ingredient through the envelope material.
