摘要 The invention relates to a simple method for producing a bipolar plate or a closing plate of a stack of fuel cells. Said stack consists of a gas impermeable, electroconductive, smooth layer and porous protruding parts which are connected to said layer in a mechanically stabile and electroconductive manner. According to the invention, individual machining of the protruding parts is no longer required. Said plate comprises an electroconductive, gas impermeable layer which is used as a separator, and a channel structure which is formed on at least one side of said layer and has protruding parts and spaces in-between, said spaces being used as gas channels. The gas-impermeable layer is put into place and the protruding parts are applied to said gas-impermeable layer, in a defined position, leaving the intermediate spaces free. According to a first aspect of the invention, a channel structured sheet is produced as a channel structure comprising said protruding parts which are arranged according to a given plan and are connected together by means of auxiliary bridges enabling said channel structured sheet to be placed on the gas-impermeable layer in order to connect it to said layer. The layer and the channel structured sheet are held together and optionally pressed in order to produce a bond, before being permanently joined. Before or after said connection, the auxiliary bridge is withdrawn. According to a second aspect of the invention, the protruding parts are directly formed from a deformable material on the gas-impermeable layer with the aid of a form tool, namely a profiled die, whereby the deformable material placed on the gas-impermeable layer is deformed and pressed, creating simultaneously the protruding parts and the intermediate spaces. Afterwards, the deformed material is hardened and is rigidly connected to the gas-impermeable.
