The invention relates to an elastic foot insert for an artificial foot. According to the invention, this foot insert is comprised of at least two interconnected springs (1, 2) that together, when viewed from the side and when in an unloaded state, enclose an approximately triangular inward springing space (3). The upper approximately roof-like spring (1) has, in th e roof peak area, an adapter connection (4) and, starting from this location, comprises a heel member (hereafter heel spring 6 ), which is concavely arche d downward and which extends up to and into the heel area (5). Said spring (1) also has a forefoot member (hereafter forefoot spring 8 ), which is also concavely arched downward and which extends up to and into the forefoot area (7). The free member ends (6a, 8a) of the heel member and of the forefoot member are joined to a separate base spring (2) that delimits the inward springing space (3) along the bottom.
