<p>A system and method of the type utilizing an in-store electronic labeling system for dynamically tracking a customer as he moves about a facility is provided. The tracking system comprising an in-store processor (ISP), an electronic label that may be adapted to display information and in communication with the ISP, an electronic tag adapted to transmit an identification to the ISP via a label or receiver that is within range of the tag, and means for dynamically tracking the movement of the tag. The system may further include a point of sale terminal in communication with the ISP. The labels may display promotional offers to special customers pursuant to signals received from tags having identifying criteria for such offers. <IMAGE></p> |
