PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine, capable of reducing mean power of a LAN interface and rapidly responding at a starting time. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine switches to a power interrupt mode for stopping an operation of a control means 13 contained in an interface 11 by stopping a clock of the means 13, except when an effective operation is executed in a normal operation mode, and can switch to the normal operation mode by the means 13, when it receives a start signal.
