PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably shorten a development period related to the production of an heat insulating container by providing the temperature maintaining performance data of the container corresponding to user needs. SOLUTION: A server 5 of the system for designing a heat insulating container is provided with: an input operating part 17 for inputting data on the performance of the heat insulating container, the temperature of external air around the heat insulating container, the heat capacity and initial temperature of contents to be stored in the heat insulating container and the performance of a heat medium for holding the temperature of the contents; and a control part 7 and a display part 19 for outputting data on the temperature holding performance of contents corresponding to the data inputted by the input operating part 17.
