PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode material at low cost which discloses layers of the cathode material made from lithium and transition metal oxide, replaces a large amount of manganese and provides a competitive electrical chemical characteristic and a good thermal safe characteristic. SOLUTION: A single phase cathode material used in an electrical chemical battery is expressed by formula Li[LixCoyA1-x-y]O2. (In the formula, A expresses [MnzNi1-z], x expresses a value having a range of approximately 0.00-0.16, y expresses a value having a range of approximately 0.1-0.30, z expresses a value having a range of approximately 0.40-0.65, Lix is included in a transition metal layer of the structure; and/or the material includes a stratified R-3m crystal structure having a c/a ratio of approximately 1.012 or more.). |
