PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel fitted with an air bag device of such a structure that the door part of a pad can be opened large even when a switch operation part is installed in a boss part or a spoke part. SOLUTION: The steering wheel W is equipped with three spoke parts SL, SR, SB and an air bag device 10 located over the boss part B. The pad 14 to cover the air bag 11 of the air bag device is structured so that a surrounding ruptural intended part 33 is ruptured and its three door parts 25, 26, 27 are opened to allow accommodation in three spaces AF, AL, AR located between the spoke parts. Hinges 29, 30, 31 for the door parts are arranged in the neighbourhood of the spaces AF, AL, AR between the spoke parts and on the side with the pad peripheral edges 21, 22, 23 lying below the part over the holding parts 46, 47, 48 by a bag holder 50 in the neighbourhood of the hinges. The switch operation part 66 is installed in the area elsewhere than the part with doors and not covered with the door parts when they are opened. |
