PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trigger type pump type sprayer constituted so that an operator can firmly and conveniently grasp and hold it to reduce the fatigue without slipping during a spray work. SOLUTION: This trigger type sprayer 10 has a shroud and the shroud is provided with a side face saddle 31 having the lower surface 36, on which a supporting body continuously extending from the front end part to the rear end part in the axial direction is formed, and extending in the horizontal direction to provide the ergonomic support of the sprayer on the hand of the operator. The length of the side face saddle 31 in the horizontal direction is minimized by providing a pinched throat part 38 of the shroud positioned under the side face saddle 31.
