PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electrical connectability and fixability of a terminal and an electric wire, and to narrow the pitch of a connecting part. SOLUTION: Inward projecting parts 2 and 3 are bent and formed on the tip side of a pair of continuous calking pieces 4 and 5, being an electrical wire connecting part 7 of the terminal 1, a conductor part 9 of the electrical wire 8 is arranged inside the pair of calking pieces, the pair of calking pieces are calked in a circular shape over the whole periphery, and are extended in the circumferential direction, so that projecting extension parts 2' and 3' including a projecting part are made to bite into the inside of the conductor part. Calking is carried out by a rotary swaging work device. Before calking, the pair of calking pieces 4 and 5 are temporarily calked and curved, and the tip of projecting parts 2 and 3 is made to bite slightly into the outer periphery of the conductor part 9. One projecting part is formed short and is bent inward at a deep angle. The other projecting part is formed long and is bent inward at a shallow angle. One projecting extension part including one projecting part is made to bite into the conductor part 9 by the calking, and the other projecting extension part including the other projecting part may be brought into close contact with an outer peripheral surface of the conductor part. |
