摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a negative battery, active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, capable of efficiently providing the negative active material with little content of a residual material and a homogeneous composition. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a negative active material for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises extruding step of filling a through-hole of a mold provided with the through-hole bent on the way in a direction of less than 180 deg., with a material containing at last one metallic element selected from group 2 to 11 and at least one metallic or metalloid element selected from groups 13 to 15 and of making the material pass through the through-hole by pushing it with a pushing rod, thereby imparting a shearing force to the material.
