<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler for air conditioner made free from distortion due to pressure by preventing it from being annealed at the time of welding even if a material pipe is flared (subjected to spinning work) while being drawn in a longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The muffler for air conditioner comprises the material pipe (1) flared (subjected to spinning work) so as to form a part beyond a specified position from an end A into an approximately spherical shape while being drawn in the longitudinal direction, and is provided with a stopper 4 for connecting pipe on an inner circumference between the end and the position (B) of starting flaring work of the pipe. Because a position where flame is applied at the time of welding is clearly shown by indicating a welding position on an outer circumference between the end and the position of starting the flaring work of the pipe and a protrusion 6 for shutting off welding flame is formed, a position where flame is applied can clearly be recognized. By applying the flame on the position, welding is surely performed and the flame is prevented from colliding against a thin-walled spherical part 2 by shutting off the flame so that the spherical part is prevented from being annealed. Thus, a strong muffler for air conditioner can be provided.</p> |
