PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid scanning type optical writing device capable of obtaining a high quality image by providing the light amount distribution on an object to be exposed evenly as much as possible even in the case the optical resolving power distribution irregularity exists in an imaging lens array. SOLUTION: An optical writing device for imaging a light beam outputted from each element 22 on an object to be exposed via a lens array by on/off control of a large number of optical shutter elements corresponding to a pixel arranged in two rows in the main scanning direction X based on image data, is provided. The size of at least one optical shutter element 22 in the main scanning direction X is different from the other optical elements and/or it corresponds to the optical resolving power of each lens single body of an imaging lens array. |
