PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, especially, the overflow dripping of boiling food, in a gas cooker or the like. SOLUTION: This cooker is equipped with a flow control means which controls the calorific value of a heat source, an electric drive means which drives the above flow control means, and a drive control means which controls the drive of the above drive means, according to the temperature states of the above drive means and a temperature sensor, and the above drive control means has a means for preventing the overflow dripping of boiling food, and this cooker has such constitution as to detect the degree of temperature rise of the temperature sensor and automatically adjust, before boiling, the thermal power from strong combustion thermal power to the boiling thermal power where it does not cause overflow dripping, and when it reaches a specified temperature before boiling, this automatically switches it over to boiling thermal power so as to prevent the overflow in boiling.
