PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner and a method for manufacturing the toner excellent in toner blocking resistance, preservability of images and low temperature fixing property and further excellent in electrification property, and to provide an electrophotographic developer and an image forming method. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic toner and the method for manufacturing the toner comprising at least a binder resin and coloring agent, the binder resin contains crystalline polyester resin as the main component having 0.01 to 0.12 ester concentration M defined by formula (1): M=K/A, where M is the ester concentration, K is the number of ester groups in the polymer and A is the number of atoms constituting the polymer chain in the polymer. The electrophotographic toner is used for the electrophotographic developer and the method for forming images.
