PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gas permeability because conventionally a part of a footing is notched and this notched portion is used as a vent hole which makes the footing not continued and the footing strength decreased. SOLUTION: A packing member 100 for a footing is interposed between the footing and a groundsill of a wooden building, and elastic members elastically deformable are laminated between at least two sheets of flat board members having rigidity, and a height capable of forming permeable spaces is given between the footing 1 and the groundsill 4.
