The support flange (3) which has a thickened edge for holding the rubber-elastic seal (2) fitted thereon runs wave-shaped in the section running parallel or at right angles to its marginal edge. The overall thickness of the wave-shaped thickened area is roughly twice the thickness of the sheet metal. At the free end area of the flange are several swages (6) running at right angles to the edge of the flange.
