PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuous reproducing or continuous recording by a plurality of recorders/reproducers with a simple connection at a low cost. SOLUTION: Three minidisk recorders 11, 12 and 13 each has an audio signal input terminal 21, an audio signal output terminal 22, a control signal input terminal 23 and a control signal output terminal 24. The recorders 11, 12 and 13 each also has a function mode for actually recording or reproducing a minidisk 25 by a recording/reproducing control unit 27, and a signal through mode for outputting an audio signal from the terminal 21 to the terminal 22 as it is. The modes are suitably switched by communicating a control signal between the recorders 11, 12 and 13. The reproducing and the recording of the sound signal are shared in a time division manner, and hence the continuous reproducing or the continuous recording can be conducted for a long time.
