<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of remote device capable of exactly detecting whether a remote controller such as a foot switch is connected to a serial port or not. SOLUTION: In the control method of remote device for remotely controlling the reproducing operation of audio data preserved in a computer while using the remote controller connected to the serial port of the computer, the signal of a first mode not related to remote control and the signal of a second mode peculiar for remote control are outputted to the serial port while being switched and by detecting the signal of the second mode, the connection of the remote controller to the serial port is detected.</p> |
